Duties

• Assist in designing and implementing scalable big data systems utilizing Hadoop, Spark, and related technologies.
• Contribute to data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to prepare datasets for analysis.
• Collaborate on database design and management using SQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Participate in statistical modeling, analysis, and research to derive actionable insights from large datasets.
• Help evaluate AI models for accuracy, robustness, and scalability, ensuring optimal performance before deployment.
• Support the deployment of machine learning/AI models into cloud environments leveraging AWS or other machine learning cloud services.
• Engage in natural language processing (NLP) projects and explore generative AI applications for innovative solutions.
• Assist with data mining activities using tools like Talend or custom scripts in Bash (Unix shell).
• Contribute to the documentation of model development processes, technical workflows, and project reports.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields with a strong interest in AI and machine learning.
• Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C, or R.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks including TensorFlow or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of big data systems like Hadoop or Spark implementation is highly desirable.
• Understanding of SQL databases, database design principles, and data analytics tools such as Looker or SAS.
• Experience with cloud services like AWS or other machine learning cloud platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis tools and techniques for research purposes.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on model evaluation and predictive modeling analysis.
