Legal AI Trainer

About the Role

We are seeking experienced finance professionals to join a 12-week AI training sprint as contract contributors. In this role, you will apply your domain expertise to evaluate, annotate, and improve AI-generated responses related to corporate and investment finance concepts and related subject matter. You will also design and build challenging, realistic tasks that mirror the complex work of your profession — complete with scenarios, supporting files, and grading rubrics — used to evaluate and improve AI systems. Your work directly shapes the accuracy and reliability of AI tools used by finance professionals every day.

This is not a traditional finance role — you will be helping build better AI by putting your knowledge to work in a structured, flexible, fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated responses to finance-related prompts for accuracy, clarity, and professional appropriateness
• Annotate and rank model outputs to guide AI training and improvement
• Write clear, expert-level answers to finance questions that serve as model training examples
• Flag errors, misconceptions, or ambiguous outputs and provide corrective guidance
• Propose, design, and build realistic tasks drawn from your own professional experience — including the scenario and prompt, realistic supporting input files, and a detailed rubric for grading AI performance
• Run your tasks against AI models and iterate based on expert reviewer feedback
• Follow detailed written instructions precisely, including document and upload format requirements
• Maintain consistent quality and throughput throughout the sprint engagement

Qualifications

• Demonstrated legal experience (litigation, corporate/transactional, compliance, or similar); does not need to be a currently practicing attorney
• J.D. and bar admission not required, though preferred — practical legal expertise matters more than credentials
