Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Applied AI Engineering Lead with 6–8 years of software engineering experience and strong hands-on expertise in AI/ML, Generative AI, cloud-native development, and modern software engineering. The ideal candidate will lead technical delivery, remain hands-on with development, mentor engineers, and leverage AI/agentic tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
Main Skills & Experience Required
- 6–8 years of software engineering/development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with multiple technologies such as Python, Java, C#, .NET, Node.js, React, Angular, and SQL/NoSQL.
- 2+ years of experience building AI/ML applications.
- Hands-on Generative AI experience with:
- LLM integration — OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source LLMs
- RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
- Prompt Engineering
- Vector Databases
- AI/Agentic Applications
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LangFuse, LangSmith, or similar AI/agent orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
- 2+ years of cloud-native engineering experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with AI/ML cloud services such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI.
- Strong understanding of microservices, FaaS, PaaS, APIs, OOP/OOD, data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
- Experience with DevSecOps, SRE, Lean/XP, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Experience with tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps (ADO), SonarQube, MLflow, and unit-testing frameworks.
- Experience with AI-augmented/spec-driven software development and AI-assisted coding, testing, code review, and documentation.
- Strong mentoring, technical leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of advanced software and AI solutions.
- Remain hands-on with coding and technical implementation.
- Design scalable architectures and maintain technical standards across projects.
- Develop AI/ML and GenAI applications, including LLM and RAG-based solutions.
- Leverage AI and agentic tools for coding, testing, code reviews, documentation, and development automation.
- Build rapid AI-powered prototypes to validate technical and business requirements.
- Implement AI-enabled Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) practices.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, UX/Experience, and Delivery teams.
- Review code, establish engineering standards, and mentor junior and senior engineers.
- Ensure solutions meet quality, scalability, security, performance, and maintainability standards.
- Translate business and customer requirements into technical specifications and production-ready solutions.
Education
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
