Job Summary

The Principal AI Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and implementing enterprise AI/ML solutions that improve clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, workforce productivity, and business performance across Sanford. Serves as a technical leader, partnering with business stakeholders, clinical leaders, data teams, and technology teams to translate business challenges into scalable, secure, and compliant AI-enabled solutions.

The Principal AI Architect defines architecture standards, evaluates emerging AI technologies, and ensures solutions align with organizational goals, healthcare regulations, security requirements, and responsible AI principles. Combines expertise in AI, cloud architecture, data platforms, healthcare interoperability, and enterprise integration. The Principal AI Architect designs and implements enterprise AI architectures supporting: Generative AI, Machine Learning, Conversational AI, Intelligent Automation, Predictive Analytics, and Clinical Decision Support.
