Jr. AI Process Engineer

We’re looking for a Jr. AI Process Engineer to work cross-functionally with Operations, Logistics, Finance, Customer Experience, and Merchandising teams to identify and build automations that streamline back-of-house business processes. You’ll pair a software engineering foundation with practical AI/LLM tooling to eliminate manual work, reduce errors, and improve the speed of day-to-day operations. You’ll work with the existing software engineering team, providing code review, architectural guidance, and mentorship.

This is a technical, hands-on role. You’ll spend your time gathering requirements, mapping systems, writing code, building API integrations, deploying workflow automations, and experimenting with AI tooling — not managing people or writing strategy decks. The ideal candidate is someone who gets energy from seeing a clunky manual process and turning it into something that runs reliably on its own. In this position, you will report to our Engineering Manager.

*This role is based out of our headquarters in Austin, TX; relocation support will be provided to a remote hire.*

Responsibilities* Partner with our VP of Technology, Operations, Logistics, Finance, CX, and Merchandising teams to identify high-impact automation opportunities * Design and build workflow automations using APIs and orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, n8n, or similar) * Develop and deploy practical AI/LLM-powered tools for tasks like document processing, classification, content generation, and data extraction * Enhance integrations between internal systems with generative AI tooling * Write clean, maintainable code with appropriate testing and monitoring * Measure and report on the impact of automations (time saved, error reduction, cost savings) * Stay current on AI tooling and evaluate new tools for practical business applications
