Data Scientist

Job Summary

As a Data Scientist, you’ll turn complex data into practical insights and machine learning solutions. You’ll work across analytics, statistical research, and artificial intelligence (AI), helping teams make informed decisions and build scalable data products. Your impact: By developing and evaluating reliable models, you’ll help stakeholders use data more effectively to address real-world needs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze structured and unstructured data using SQL, Python, R, SAS, and statistical analysis tools.
• Develop statistical models, predictive modeling analyses, and machine learning approaches, including unsupervised learning and natural language processing.
• Prepare data through extract, transform, and load (ETL) workflows; data mining; database design; and work with SQL databases, linked data, and big data systems.
• Train, evaluate, and deploy AI models using machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Spark, and machine learning cloud services, including AWS.
• Support AI implementation, generative AI, Spark implementation, and scalable analytics; communicate findings clearly to technical and nontechnical partners.

Experience

• Experience with data analytics, statistical analysis, statistical modeling, model training, model evaluation, and machine learning/AI-based analysis.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark, and tools such as Talend and Looker.
• Programming experience in Java, C, VBA, or Bash (Unix shell) is useful; expertise in every listed language or tool is not required.
• Ability to apply statistical analysis for research and translate results into actionable recommendations.
• Exposure to quantum engineering or related emerging fields is a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $135.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
