Job Description

Job Description

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work side by side with our US mortgage customers to turn their business vision into working, production-grade agentic AI solutions. You are a business consultant, a hands-on enterprise architect, and an AI-native builder in one role. You own the outcome from the first discovery conversation to go-live and beyond.

Roles & Responsibilities

Business consulting and customer partnership

  • Engage directly with fintech customers to understand their goals, pain points and vision across origination, underwriting, closing and servicing.
  • Lead AI use-case discovery: identify opportunities, quantify value, and convert them into pilots with clear success metrics and ROI.
  • Re-engineer business processes from AS-IS to TO-BE agentic workflows and guide stakeholders through the change.
  • Build proposals, sprint-wise estimates, pilot and delivery plans, and advise customers on the TCO of AI solutions.

Enterprise architecture

  • Design end-to-end, full-stack solutions spanning UI, APIs, data, integrations and cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP).
  • Architect multi-agent systems, RAG pipelines and MCP-based integrations with mortgage systems of record such as LOS, POS, pricing and servicing platforms.
  • Apply well-architected principles to AI: security, reliability, scalability, observability, and cost and token efficiency.
  • Select the right models, frameworks and deployment patterns for each problem.

AI-native, hands-on engineering

  • Build solutions yourself using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and GitHub Copilot as part of your everyday workflow.
  • Practice spec-driven development: write clear specs first, then use AI agents to build, test and review against them.
  • Develop agents with tools, memory and MCP servers using frameworks such as LangGraph, Google ADK, AWS Strands or Langflow.
  • Automate business processes with agentic AI, for example loan document processing, income calculation, conditions clearing, compliance checks and operations copilots.
  • Use AI agents across the SDLC for requirements, design, testing, DevOps and incident response.

End-to-end delivery ownership

  • Own scope, timeline, quality and customer satisfaction for your engagements.
  • Set up agent evaluation, guardrails, security reviews and UAT, and secure approval for production go-live.
  • Establish AI governance, risk and compliance practices suited to a regulated industry.
  • Measure outcomes after launch, report ROI, and drive continuous improvement.

What we expect from you

  • Think like a consultant. Start from the customer's business problem, not the technology, and help them realize their vision.
  • Build like an engineer. Stay hands-on: you write specs, code, test and deploy, not just design on slides.
  • Work AI-native. Use AI tools and agents to deliver faster and better than traditional teams, and show customers how to do the same.
  • Own the bottom line. Take full accountability for delivering the committed scope. When problems arise, you solve them rather than escalate them.
  • Learn the domain deeply. Understand mortgage processes, data and regulations well enough to earn the trust of business users.
  • Communicate with clarity. Explain complex ideas simply to executives, business users and engineers, and push back when needed.
